REVOLV SARL - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Before we get to the legal bit...

Here is a quick summary of how our service works.

You choose a bike for your child and decide whether to buy it or subscribe to it. If you buy, the bike is yours. If you subscribe, you pay monthly and can swap to a bigger bike whenever your child grows.

Our service is currently available in Switzerland only.

Here is how the subscription works in a nutshell:

  • You choose your bike and subscribe monthly. Your first bike is delivered free of charge.
  • You commit to 12 monthly payments. After that, your subscription continues month to month until you return your bike, and ends on the day we receive it.
  • You can swap your bike at any time. Swapping does not restart your 12-month minimum term.
  • When you swap, you can drop off your current bike at our Geneva showroom free of charge, with no appointment needed, or send it back at your cost (CHF 31.00 per bike, CHF 15.00 per balance bike). Delivery of your new bike is free once 12 months have passed since your last free delivery; deliveries in between are at your cost (CHF 31.00 per bike, CHF 15.00 per balance bike).
  • At the start of a new subscription, you have 14 days after receiving your bike to tell us it does not suit you: only the first month is due. Returning it to our showroom is free; return transport arranged by us is at your cost.
  • You can add our optional Peace of Mind Insurance for CHF 3.90/month. Normal wear is always included; the insurance covers small repairs and cleaning when you return the bike.
  • If you cancel before 12 months without swapping, you may owe the remaining monthly payments.
  • You are responsible for the bike while it is in your possession.

OVERVIEW

This website is operated by Revolv Sarl. Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Revolv Sarl. By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us or subscribing to one of our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. These Terms apply to all users of the site. Please read them carefully before accessing or using our website. We reserve the right to update or replace any part of these Terms by posting changes to our website. Your continued use of the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

SECTION - BIKE SUBSCRIPTIONS

Our two options

When selecting your bike, two options are available:

  • Buy (I keep it): outright purchase of a new bike.
  • Subscribe (I swap when they grow): monthly rental with the possibility of swapping bikes at any time.

Periodicity and term

Subscriptions are paid monthly, with a minimum commitment of 12 monthly payments. After that, your subscription continues month to month until it ends as described under Cancellation.

There are no set-up fees. Your first monthly payment is taken when you order. Your subscription starts on the day you receive your bike (delivery or collection from our showroom). Your next monthly payment is taken one month later, then on the same date each month. Your commitment is 12 monthly payments.

First bike delivery

Delivery of your first bike is free of charge, with no minimum order amount required.

Swapping your bike

You can swap your bike at any time during your subscription. A swap does not change your minimum term, which remains 12 months from the start of your subscription.

The following fees apply when swapping:

  • Return of your current bike: free of charge if you drop it off at our Geneva showroom; otherwise by post at your cost (CHF 31.00 per bike, CHF 15.00 per balance bike).
  • Delivery of your new bike: free once 12 months have passed since the last free delivery of your subscription, the first delivery included. Deliveries in between are at your cost (CHF 31.00 per bike, CHF 15.00 per balance bike).

Swaps can be initiated from your customer account or by contacting us at team@revolvbikes.com. We deliver your new bike. You can drop off your old one at our Geneva showroom, with no appointment needed and free of charge, or send it back by post at your cost.

Cancellation

If you cancel before the end of your 12-month minimum term without swapping for another bike, we may charge a one-time payment for the remaining monthly payments due until the end of the minimum term.

After the 12-month commitment, your subscription continues month to month and ends on the day we receive your bike at our showroom, whether you drop it off or send it by post. Monthly payments continue until then.

SECTION - PEACE OF MIND INSURANCE (OPTIONAL)

Ride freely, return with peace of mind. Normal wear, superficial scratches, standard adjustments and normal cleaning are always included in your subscription. Our optional Peace of Mind Insurance at CHF 3.90/month also covers the small mishaps of a child's bike, so there is nothing to pay when you return it.

What is covered, when the bike is returned:

  • Small broken or damaged parts (grips, pedals, bell, derailleur, etc.), beyond the first CHF 20 per return that we cover for everyone
  • Cleaning of a bike returned very dirty
  • Puncture repairs and inner tube replacement
  • Tyres worn from repeated skidding

What is not covered:

  • Theft, loss, attempted theft or vandalism
  • Damage caused by an accident or collision
  • Significant negligence, misuse or unauthorised modifications
  • Structural damage (severely bent or cracked frame, fork or rims)
  • Maintenance and repairs during the rental

Conditions:

  • CHF 3.90 per month, added to your monthly subscription
  • CHF 10 deductible per part (cleaning, punctures and tyres: no deductible)
  • Coverage cap: CHF 150 per return
  • Cancellable at any time, automatically renewed with your subscription

SECTION - 14-DAY TEST RIDE

We want you and your child to love your bike. At the start of a new subscription, you can tell us within 14 days of receiving or collecting the bike that you do not wish to continue, by emailing team@revolvbikes.com. The bike must then be returned within 7 days.

The first month remains payable. No further monthly payments or balance of the 12-month commitment are charged under this trial. The trial applies only at the start of a new subscription and does not restart when you swap bikes.

Returning the bike to our Geneva showroom is free. If we arrange return transport, it costs CHF 31.00 per bike or CHF 15.00 per balance bike. The bike may have been tried normally; any damage is assessed separately. Shipping bikes is costly, so we kindly ask you to measure your child's inseam carefully before ordering.

SECTION - RETURNS AND LIABILITY

Return procedure

Please notify us in advance of any return by emailing team@revolvbikes.com. You may also drop off your bike at our Geneva showroom, with no appointment needed, Monday to Friday, 10:30 to 14:00 and 15:00 to 19:00. The return address is:

Once we have received and checked your bike, we will confirm the formal closure of your subscription.

Liability and damage

You are responsible for the bike while it is in your possession. During your subscription, maintenance and repairs are at your cost. We service every bike between two subscriptions: normal wear, superficial scratches, standard adjustments and normal cleaning are included for everyone.

For small broken or damaged parts (grips, pedals, bell, derailleur, etc.), we cover the first CHF 20 per return; beyond that, they are charged to you. Punctures, tyres damaged by skidding and cleaning a bike returned very dirty are also charged. Peace of Mind Insurance covers these costs with a CHF 10 deductible per part (no deductible for punctures, tyres and cleaning), up to CHF 150 per return. Damage caused by an accident, negligence or misuse, and damage to the frame, fork or rims, are never covered: they are charged at the actual cost of repair, on a quote sent before the work, and never more than the bike's value as defined below.

If you do not return your bike (for example in the event of theft, loss or irreparable damage), you owe its value according to its age since it was first rented, as a percentage of its retail price when new: 100% in the first year, 80% from 1 to 2 years, 60% from 2 to 3 years, 40% from 3 to 4 years and 20% after 4 years. Subscription payments already made are not deducted.

You may already be covered for theft or damage by your household and/or civil liability insurance. For additional cover, you may wish to visit www.suisse-velo.ch.

SECTION - USED BIKE PURCHASES

Used bike sales are only subject to our standard return policy if delivered by post, otherwise they are sold as seen. All used bike sales are final. Revolv Sarl accepts no responsibility for used bikes after the sale or the applicable 14-day return period.

SECTION - BUYBACK OF PURCHASED BIKES

For a bike bought new from Revolv, we buy it back when your child has outgrown it, at a guaranteed price based on the price you paid: 55% up to 18 months after purchase, 42% from 18 to 24 months, 30% beyond 24 months. The applicable rate is that of the last threshold reached. The bike must be in good condition; normal wear is accepted. The amount is paid to you or deducted from your next bike. This offer does not apply to subscription bikes.

SECTION - SHIPPING

Revolv Sarl currently delivers within Switzerland only. Orders from outside Switzerland cannot be accepted.

SECTION 1 - ONLINE STORE TERMS

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you confirm that you are of legal age in your country of residence, or that you have obtained parental consent for any minor dependents to use this site. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell or exploit any portion of the Service without express written permission from us.

Prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

Certain products or services may be available exclusively online. We reserve the right to limit sales of our products or services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction.

SECTION 6 - ACCURACY OF BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION

We reserve the right to refuse any order. You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store.

SECTION 7 - THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Third-party links on this site may direct you to websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party websites and shall not be liable for any harm or damages related to transactions made in connection with them.

SECTION 8 - USER COMMENTS AND SUBMISSIONS

Any comments or submissions you forward to us may be used by us without restriction. You agree that your comments will not violate any third-party rights or contain unlawful, abusive or obscene material.

SECTION 9 - PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy.

SECTION 10 - DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

We do not guarantee that your use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind. In no case shall Revolv Sarl or its employees be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

SECTION 11 - INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Revolv Sarl and its employees from any claim or demand arising from your breach of these Terms of Service or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

SECTION 12 - SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms of Service is deemed unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.

SECTION 13 - TERMINATION

These Terms of Service are effective unless terminated by either party. We may terminate this agreement at any time without notice if you fail to comply with any term or provision.

SECTION 14 - GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland.
